A furnace operates by heating air within the furnace unit and then circulating it through your home through a blower and HVAC air ducts. The warm air is transported through vents in the rooms of your house to keep you warm. The furnace provides heat for a majority of the year and is an integral part of your complete home comfort system. The Service & Installation technicians at Pederson HVAC have the expertise needed to tackle any furnace job.

There are many ways to heat your home and radiant heating with a boiler is one of the most fuel and cost efficient. A good boiler will last many years. Boilers are very durable and capable of withstanding years of use before breaking down. Through careful HVAC system maintenance by Pederson HVAC, you can be assured that when a replacement boiler or part is needed, Pederson HVAC will be there to fix the heating system. If you think your boiler is in need of service, contact Pederson HVAC to request a repair or schedule an estimate for a new boiler system.

Mini-splits are heating and cooling systems that allow you to control the temperatures in individual rooms or spaces.

Mini-split systems have two main components — an outdoor compressor/condenser and an indoor air-handling unit(s) (evaporator). They are easy to install usually requiring only a three-inch hole through a wall for the conduit; which houses the power and communication cables, copper tubing, and a condensation drain line, linking the outdoor and indoor units.

Mini-split heat pumps are not only great solutions for whole home or new constructions but make good retrofit add-ons to houses with “non-ducted” heating systems, such as hydronic (hot water heat), radiant panels, and space heaters (wood, kerosene, propane). They can also be a good choice for room additions where extending or installing distribution ductwork is not feasible, and energy efficient new homes that require only a small space conditioning system.

Heat pumps are one of the most efficient heating systems available, they allow you to stay warm in the winter and cool all summer. In effect, all air has energy in it, even when the temperature is very cold. A heat pump works by drawing the energy from that air and exchanging it through condensers into the air in your home. Heated air is then circulated through your house via a series of HVAC ducts. If are you are interested in a heat pump installation assessment, or if you already have on and need routine maintenance or repairs, call Pederson HVAC today!

Your heating system is an incredibly complex and durable collection of ducts, pipes, and machinery. Pederson HVAC recommends annual heating system maintenance to prevent costly and time consuming HVAC unit repairs.  Annual proper maintenance will delay signs of HVAC system wear and avoid excessive repair costs to keep your home warm in the winter months. During your thorough heating system inspection, your service technicians will check your entire heating system, reviewing the integrity of your furnace, test for leaks in your HVAC ductwork, UV dye test for cracks in the heat exchanger, and also check the calibration of the heating system’s thermostats. This regular heating system maintenance can help maintain the efficiency of your HVAC system, lower your energy costs and help extend the life of your system with proper annual care!  You can trust the technicians at Pederson HVAC for all of your heating system maintenance needs.
